A2 Allium Cyanotypes
A2 Allium Cyanotypes
Like dandelion clocks or little fireworks - I grow these in my garden, harvesting when the seed heads have dried out to reveal their intricate structures of delicate spokes bearing tiny, heart shaped pods.
Media: An original cyanotype on handmade cotton rag paper created from recycled T-shirts. Please be aware that the product images are examples only, since each piece is produced individually by hand making it unique & original. The artwork you receive will be similar to, but not precisely the same, as those shown. I aim for uniformity of blue, but again, each piece will vary slightly in depth of colour. Where more than one piece is ordered I will endeavour to match the 'Prussian Blue' tone of each.
Species info: Alliums are part of the onion family (Allium is Latin for garlic), though the ones I use are the purple or white ornamental type. Always
Allium meaning and symbolism in the language of flowers: Alliums are a symbol of good luck and prosperity. It means they're perfect for those who are about to embark on something new – from a new job to a house move or anything else that heralds a fresh start.
Size: 420 x 594 mm, 42.0 x 59.4 cm or 16.5 x 23.4 inches
