XXL Wild Foxgloves
XXL Wild Foxgloves
The Foxglove's lush architectural spires flank roadsides in the West coast of Ireland during summer. These statuesque plants can reach towering heights - over a metre - as my life sized XXL cyanotypes capture.
Media: An original cyanotype on handmade cotton rag paper created from recycled T-shirts. My XXL pieces are made using some of the worlds largest handmade papers. This is a totally unique, one-of-a-kind, very special piece - I create a maximum of two XXL cyanotypes of each featured species per year. Please also note that this piece is for sale in other galleries & may not necessarily be available. In the event of it having sold prior to you making a purchase I will of course immediately issue a refund. Thank you for your understanding in this.
Species Info: Native wild foxglove, digitalis
Foxglove meaning and symbolism in the language of flowers: Foxgloves symbolize protection, ambition, and enchantment, with their towering spikes and bell-shaped blooms. They're used in cottage gardens, herbal remedies, and as a symbol of both danger and healing.
